Pillar of Words: original teapot design with Chinese calligraphy by
Zheng Qiu Biao, Yixing This pillar of words is etched with Chinese characters from Buddhist sutras. Although some teapot artists have calligraphy carved into their teapots by calligraphers, rather than attempting it themselves, Zheng Qiu Biao is also know for his traditional Chinese water color and calligraphy paintings, too. Thus, he performs all of this intricate writing himself. This is a stout teapot with less standard lines. |
